Podcast:

An Audio Recording that is published to the web and can be downloaded and listened easily by anyone.

• Podcasts usually take 2-3 weeks to produce at first. Here is a suggested timeline for production:
  • Introductory Activities:
    • Review Audacity Software with some fun throw-away recordings: (2-3 class periods)
  • PreWriting: (1-2 class periods)
    • Define the purpose of the Podcast.
    • Organize students to participate.
    • Brainstorm potential topics
  • Pre-Production: (2-4 class periods)
    • Produce a script. (Either verbatim or bulleted)
    • Gather required sound assets. (Music, Sound Effects)
  • Production: (2-3 class periods)
    • Create and export the recording!
  • Post Production
    • Either create a webpage or add the audio content to the students' already existing web page.
